Quick-SC Connectors
The Quick-SC connector is designed for simple, fast termination of single fibres without polishing. The heart of the Quick-SC is a pre-polished ferrule and mechanical splice in a single “barrel”. The QST-02 tool is used to open & close a mechanical splice inside the barrel, allowing insertion of a cleaved fibre end. The barrel is assembled into the housing together with the connector boot and, on 250um primary coated fibres, a fibre protection tube to construct the complete connector. The whole process is quick, easy and requires no electrical power supply.
Quick-SC is available for single-mode and multimode fibres, with either 250um primary or 900umm tight secondary coatings.
