Sumitomo solutions for single fibre connection range from
the small form factor MU and LC to the more traditional SC and
FC connectors.
- All solutions are tested to Telecordia GR326.
- Fibre compatibility extends from 250mm to 2mm diameter cord.
- Single-mode and multi-mode availability.
- Single-mode connectors offer UPC with either standard or
low loss grades.
- LC, SC and FC also available with APC polish.
The LC and MU connector were developed using a 1.25mm ceramic
ferrule and provide high density connectivity while maintaining
excellent performance and reliability.
- Available in both simplex and duplex designs.
- Further size reduction can be achieved with the MU(J) and
simplified MU.
- The MU panel adapters include multi-channel connection up
to 16-way.
- The MU is also fully backplane compatible.
SC, FC and ST connectors use a conventional 2.5mm diameter
ferrule and fulfil many applications in telecommunication and
data communication networks.
The SC is available in a duplex form while the FC and ST are
simplex.
Duplex SFF connection can also be achieved by Sumitomo's MT-RJ
connector.
Compliant to IEC61754-18, this adopts a mini-MT ferrule with
alignment made by precision guide pins. Reliability is assured
by testing to Telecordia GR1435.
